It's getting cooler now that we're at the end of September. But the humidity is still high touching from 80% to 97% went it rains.
Well, we've come to an end of an era when QEII died on the 8th Sept. 2022, this month. I watched the whole funeral ceremony which lasted about 5 hours, of course on and off my house chores.
During this time, there were house guests in the house. He was my hubby's senior staff while they were working in the Senai factory in Johor, Malaysia.
He came to have rounds of golf, counting 3 rounds and a day doing the driving range practice. He and his son settled in for 9 days. Those days not on golf rounds, he did work from home or the Japanese lingo for it "tere-work".
As the guests had stayed in Malaysia for 6 years, they are familiar with Malay food. So, it is easy for me to just cook a whole big pot of curry or Malay coconut gulai. They loved it. They said since coming back to Japan, they haven't eaten these kinds of food as no shops in Japan offer them.
This room is not occupied on the 2nd floor of our house. This room is kept for our children and friends when they dropped in.
They left the house with a box of curry puffs of potato and chicken. I would call it more like curry chicken-potato pie to the delight of his wife who called me immediately after munching on two pieces.
Haiku:
September kind breeze
welcoming with open arms
sharing with house guests.
